Marco says : So exciting! On my trip I got to stay in a dog friendly room – a bungalow- that had a bed especially for me! And a garden just outside the front door. The lighthouse shone over the garden so it was really by the sea.
The Adnams brewery tour started in the hotel. I did want to go but dogs couldn’t. M got a bottle of beer to take home but didn’t really make up to me for missing out!.
M was interested in how much Southwold wanted to help the sailor’s by building a reading room, but thought the rather lovely mermaids may have taking their minds off the actual reading?
Southwold is a town with so much history – it was incorporated in a charter of Henry VII in 1489. This Butcher’s shop is the oldest shop in Southwold. I would have loved a trip inside, but it was shut. How lovely it’s with Mr Mills daughters as well as sons.
Never mind. Another day, another chance.
